Mr T.E. Mushayandebvu, Chairman
Tichaona Mushayandebvu is a founding member of LEAD and current chairperson of the organization. He has contributed immensely to the success of the organization from its conceptualization to its current status as one of Zimbabwe’s leading economic mitigation non-governmental organization. Mushayandebvu has more than 25 years of senior management experience in the public, donor and United Nations Organization sectors. Between 1990 and 1996, he worked as a senior economist in the Department of Domestic and International Finance in Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.
From 1996 to 2000, he .joined the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)’s US$26 million-funded Zimbabwe Enterprise Development Program where he worked as the economic advisor/development finance manager. From 2000 – 2005, he was the senior economic advisor/ program manager for another USAID/Zimbabwe funded US$15 million Economic Mitigation program for Disadvantaged in a Hyper-Inflationary Environment, implemented by DAI, an international development company. Mushayandebvu is currently the head of the United Nations International Development Organization (UNIDO) Zimbabwe, having joined the institution in 2006. UNIDO is an international organization. At UNIDO Zimbabwe, Mushayandebvu is responsible for advising and supporting the Inclusive and Sustainable (re) Industrialization agenda of Government of Zimbabwe under its various national programs.
Mushayandebvu holds an MSc degree in economics, diplomas in sales, marketing, public relations and financial management. In addition, he has international diplomas and several certificates in private sector development disciplines.
