Shack Alibaba has over 30 years of experience working in the agricultural development sector with a focus on in agronomy, horticultural, small livestock production, and agricultural extension and market linkages within the small holder sector.

He joined LEAD in 2004 and has been instrumental in providing technical and managerial support to the numerous projects implemented in the Matabeleland Region which include Food Security and Livelihoods, Small Livestock, Agricultural Recovery and Water and Sanitation.

The results of his work are demonstrated by the high number of farmers that have graduated from being vulnerable in terms of food insecurity, and low incomes to become self-sustainable and assist others through the successful implementation of various livelihood projects.

Shack has served as a Program Manager in Matabeleland provinces where he worked with smallholder farmers and orphanage institutions to produce high value horticultural crops, small grains and improving their marketability.
